  • Use fresh beans: Fresh beans have a better flavor and texture than canned or frozen beans. If you can't find fresh beans, you can substitute frozen beans, but be sure to thaw them before using.
  • Choose the right type of bean: There are many different types of beans available, so choose one that you like the taste of and that will work well in your dish. Some popular choices include green beans, kidney beans, black beans, and pinto beans.
  • Cook the beans properly: Beans should be cooked until they are tender but not mushy. The cooking time will vary depending on the type of bean, so be sure to follow the directions on the package.
  • Use fresh garlic and onion: Fresh garlic and onion add a lot of flavor to this dish. If you don't have fresh garlic or onion, you can substitute dried garlic or onion powder, but the flavor will not be as good.
