Time 8h5m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 lbs ribs
1 onion, chopped
1 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup flour
1 tablespoon mustard

Steps:

  • Place rib and onion in crock pot.
  • Mix honey, flour, BBQ sauce, and mustard in bowl.
  • Pour over ribs.
  • Cook on low 6-8 hours.
  • Skim fat off top and serve.

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs are the most popular type of ribs for slow cooking, as they are tender and flavorful. Spare ribs are also a good option, but they are slightly tougher and have more meat on them.
  • Prepare the ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. This will help the ribs cook more evenly.
  • Season the ribs: There are many different ways to season ribs. You can use a simple rub made from salt, pepper, and garlic powder, or you can use a more complex marinade. If you are using a marinade, be sure to let the ribs marinate for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Cook the ribs: Place the ribs in a slow cooker and add enough liquid to cover them. You can use water, broth, or a combination of both. Cook the ribs on low for 6-8 hours, or until they are fall-off-the-bone tender.
  • Serve the ribs: Serve the ribs with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or baked beans.

Conclusion:

Slow cooker ribs are an easy and delicious way to enjoy this classic dish. With a little planning, you can have a mouthwatering meal that will please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a simple and satisfying meal, give slow cooker ribs a try. You won't be disappointed!
