This makes a big 13x9 pan of brownies, using a brownie box mix. Super easy and looks gormet when you are done! (Be sure to buy the box mix that says that it makes a 13x9 recipe or you'll have problems.) The mix I use is by Betty Crocker.

1 (20 ounce) package fudge brownie mix (13x9 size)
1/4 cup water (or what mix calls for)
1/3 cup oil (or what your mix calls for)
2 eggs (or what your mix calls for)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
  • Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions (water, oil, eggs).
  • Pour into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • Beat cream cheese with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
  • Add sugar and mix. Add vanilla and egg; mix until well-blended.
  • Place cheese mixture in dolups over the whole pan, leaving some brownie showing inbetween.
  • Cut or swirl through batter several times with a knife or fork for a marbled effect. It can be tricky to get a good marble effect so be careful not to over work it.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool; cut into squares. (These will also freeze well).

1 box your favorite chocolate brownie mix
1 1/2 Tbsp instant coffee powder
CREAM CHEESE FILLING
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature or softened
1/4 c sugar
1 egg
3 Tbsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2. Prepare brownie mix to the box instructions. Generally adding vegetable oil, eggs, and water. To the brownie mix you are also going to add the instant coffee mix to the batter and mix well. (The instant coffee you can add more or less of depending on your taste for coffee flavor.)
  • 3. Cream together the cream cheese, egg, vanilla and sugar.
  • 4. Pour the brownie mix into a 9 x 13 non stick pan. Dollop the cream cheese mixture into the brownie mix in about 6 to 8 areas. Swirl gently with a spoon or knife.
  • 5. Bake for approx 35 minutes or till done. Baking time may very depending on how your family likes their brownies!

1 box brownie mix prepared according to box
2 handfuls of chopped pecans
1 egg
1/2 sugar
1 pkg 8oz cream cheese (room temp)

Steps:

  • 1. Combine brownie mix according to directions on box. Spread in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle pecans on top of brownie mix.
  • 2. In a medium sized bowl mix cream cheese, sugar and egg together. Spread this on top of your brownie/pecan layer.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
