Tips:
- Use a variety of cheeses. This will give your casserole a richer, more complex flavor. Some good options include cheddar, Monterey Jack, queso Oaxaca, and queso fresco.
- Don't be afraid to add some heat. If you like spicy food, add a diced jalapeño or two to the casserole. You can also use chili powder or cayenne pepper to taste.
- Make sure the casserole is cooked through. The cheese should be melted and bubbly, and the center of the casserole should be hot. If you're not sure if it's done, insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the casserole is ready.
- Serve the casserole with your favorite toppings. Some good options include sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and Pico de Gallo.
