Tips:

  • Choose the right type of chicken. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs are ideal for this recipe, as they cook quickly and evenly. If you prefer dark meat, you can also use bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs.
  • Make sure the chicken is cooked through before adding the cheese. You can check this by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken; it should read at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a good quality cheese that melts well. Cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan are all popular choices for this recipe.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. If you're using a small pan, cook the chicken in batches to avoid overcrowding. This will help the chicken cook evenly and prevent it from steaming.
  • Serve immediately. This dish is best enjoyed hot out of the oven, so serve it as soon as it's ready.

Conclusion:

This easy cheesy chicken recipe is a quick and easy weeknight meal that the whole family will love. It's also a great way to use up any leftover chicken you may have.
