Provided by Taste of Home

Categories     Desserts

Time 30m

Yield about 6-1/2 dozen.

Number Of Ingredients 3

4 large egg whites
2 cups peanut butter
1-2/3 cups sugar

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, combine peanut butter and sugar; fold in egg whites. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto lightly greased baking sheets. Flatten slightly with a fork. Bake at 325° for 15-20 minutes or until set. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Nutrition Facts : Calories 113 calories, Fat 7g fat (1g saturated fat), Cholesterol 0 cholesterol, Sodium 67mg sodium, Carbohydrate 11g carbohydrate (9g sugars, Fiber 1g fiber), Protein 4g protein.

Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start baking, measure and prepare all of your ingredients. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you don't forget anything.
  • Use Room Temperature Butter: Room temperature butter is easier to cream together with sugar and other ingredients. This will help you achieve a smooth and creamy dough.
  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps to prevent the cookies from spreading too much. This will result in thicker, chewier cookies.
  • Use Parchment Paper: Line your baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent the cookies from sticking. This will also make it easier to clean up afterwards.
  • Bake the Cookies Until the Edges Are Golden Brown: The cookies are done baking when the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Overbaking will result in dry, crumbly cookies.

Conclusion:

These easy butter cookies are the perfect treat for any occasion. They're simple to make, delicious, and can be customized to your liking. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can enjoy these classic cookies in no time. So next time you're looking for a sweet and satisfying snack, give these easy butter cookies a try!
