Tips:

  • To make sure your pie crust is flaky, use cold butter and work it into the flour quickly. Avoid overworking the dough, as this can make it tough.
  • If you don't have a rolling pin, you can use a wine bottle or even a glass to roll out the dough.
  • To prevent the pie crust from shrinking, chill it for at least 30 minutes before baking.
  • For a gooey pecan pie filling, use dark corn syrup instead of light corn syrup. You can also add a tablespoon of molasses for extra flavor.
  • To keep the pecans from sinking to the bottom of the pie, toss them with a little flour before adding them to the filling.
  • For a perfectly browned crust, brush the top of the pie with milk or cream before baking.
  • Let the pie cool completely before slicing and serving. This will help the filling set and the crust will be less likely to crumble.

Conclusion:

Bourbon pecan pie is a classic Southern dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its sweet, gooey filling and flaky crust, it's sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy-to-make dessert, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
