EASY BAKED BEANS

Easy Baked Beans image

I have been making this for almost 40 years. The original recipe calls for all ketchup; it was my idea to make that half ketchup and half barbeque sauce. I do love spicy. I have never had a baked bean recipe that was this good and also this easy. Nobody will know you didn't spend all day on it.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality canned beans: Look for beans that are plump and not wrinkled. Avoid beans that are discolored or have a strange odor.
  • Rinse the beans thoroughly before using: This will help to remove any excess starch and salt.
  • Use a variety of beans: Don't be afraid to mix and match different types of beans. This will add flavor and texture to your dish.
  • Add some seasonings: A little bit of salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder can go a long way in enhancing the flavor of your baked beans.
  • Don't overcook the beans: Overcooked beans will become mushy and lose their flavor. Cook the beans just until they are heated through.

Conclusion:

Baked beans are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are also a great side dish for picnics and potlucks. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious pot of baked beans that everyone will love. So next time you are looking for an easy and satisfying meal, give baked beans a try.
