1/4 cup ice water
FILLING:
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 medium tart apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 large egg, beaten, room temperature
1-1/2 teaspoons water
GLAZE:
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon water

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine flour and salt; cut in 1/4 cup butter until crumbly. Gradually add water, tossing with a fork until a ball forms. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 12x6-in. rectangle., Cut remaining butter into thin slices.
