Alfredo Sauce Recipe With Milk - A Quick And Easy Method image

An easy alfredo sauce recipe with milk that makes a rich and flavorful sauce without the use of heavy cream.

Provided by Remisha Hasnain

Categories     Main

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/4 cup butter
3 cloves fresh garlic
1 tsp white pepper
1/4 cup all purpose flour
3 cups full fat mil
1.5 cups grated, fresh parmesan
Salt and Pepper for seasoning
Fresh parsley for garnish
Non-stick saucepan
Silicon Spatula
Whisk

Steps:

  • Add butter to the non-stick pan and let it melt on low flame
  • As the butter melts, finely chop the garlic cloves.
  • Now add the garlic to the butter and sauté well.
  • As the garlic sautés, add in the white pepper.
  • Now, add the flour spoon by spoon, constantly stirring the mixture with a silicone spatula to avoid lumping.
  • As the flour turns golden, add the milk. Note: It is crucial here to keep whisking the mixture vigorously as you add milk, or else you'll end up with a not so appetizing lumpy sauce.
  • Keep whisking until the mixture thickens and starts to form into a sauce.
  • As the sauce takes the desired consistency, take it off the heat.
  • While the sauce is hot, add in the freshly grated parmesan and stir well.
  • Next, add salt and pepper and adjust according to your taste.
  • Last but not least, sprinkle a tbsp or two of fresh, chopped parsley and give it a light stir. The sauce is ready to be served!

CREAMY GARLIC ALFREDO SAUCE IN 15 MINUTES

Creamy Garlic Alfredo Sauce in 15 Minutes image

We created this sauce with milk because most families have milk in the fridge. If you want to use heavy cream, then just eliminate the flour and replace the milk with heavy cream. Makes about 2 1/2 cups of sauce.

Provided by Diane

Categories     Sauces

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 cup butter ((1/2 stick))
4 cloves garlic (, minced (or 2 teaspoons garlic powder))
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon dried herbs ((basil, oregano, thyme, etc.))
1/2 teaspoon dried mustard powder
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt (, or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper

Steps:

  • Heat a sauce pan on medium-high heat. Melt butter, then add garlic and cook translucent and fragrant (about 1 minute).
  • Whisk in flour and continue whisking to remove large clumps.
  • Slowly whisk in the milk. Whisking often to make sure flour lumps are smooth, bring sauce to a low boil. Then reduce heat to low.
  • Add dried herbs, mustard powder, parmesan, salt and pepper. Continue whisking until sauce is smooth and begins to thicken.
  • Serve the sauce with your favorite pasta. If you're saving the sauce for later, allow the sauce to completely cool.
  • Pour the sauce into mason jars or a container. Keep in fridge and use within 5 days.

EASY ALFREDO SAUCE

Easy Alfredo Sauce image

I can never seem to find an Alfredo sauce I like. FINALLY I did! It is very easy to make and uses ingredients that you typically have around the house.

Provided by AmyKat321

Categories     Sauces

Time 10m

Yield 5 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/4 cup butter
4 ounces cream cheese (half of a cream cheese block)
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup milk, divided
3 ounces mozzarella cheese, grated or 3 ounces parmesan cheese
1 dash ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add cream cheese and garlic salt, stirring with wire whisk until smooth.
  • Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps.
  • Stir in mozzarella or parmesan cheese and pepper.
  • Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency.
  • Sauce will thicken rapidly; thin with milk if cooked too long.
  • Toss with hot pasta to serve.

Tips:

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Pre-grated cheese often contains additives that can affect the flavor and texture of the sauce.
  • Don't boil the milk. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Add the cheese gradually. This will help prevent the sauce from curdling.
  • Season the sauce to taste. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, or other seasonings as desired.
  • Serve the sauce immediately. Alfredo sauce is best when served fresh.

Conclusion:

This easy Alfredo sauce with milk is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used on a variety of dishes. It's perfect for pasta, chicken, fish, and vegetables. It's also a great way to add some extra flavor to your favorite recipes. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a creamy, flavorful Alfredo sauce that the whole family will love.
