1 pinch salt and black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground paprika, for dusting (divided)

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 8

6 large hard-boiled eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon mustard (yellow or Dijon)
1/2 teaspoon white vinegar (plus more for coloring)
Dash salt, to taste
Dash freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Food coloring (for dying the egg whites)
Optional garnish: dash ground paprika

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.

Steps:

  • Mash 6 hard-boiled egg yolks, 1/3 cup creme fraiche, 1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon, 1 teaspoon Sriracha (hot Asian chili sauce), 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro, 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard, 1/4 teaspoon lime zest, 1 teaspoon lime juice and salt. Spoon into the egg whites; top with more lime zest.

Tips:

  • Choose the freshest eggs possible. Older eggs will have a thinner, less flavorful yolk.
  • Hard-boil the eggs perfectly. Overcooked eggs will have a dry, crumbly yolk.
  • Use a variety of ingredients to flavor the eggs. This recipe uses a combination of mayonnaise, mustard, horseradish, and paprika, but you can also add other ingredients like crumbled bacon, chopped chives, or diced pickles.
  • Be creative with your presentation. You can pipe the filling into the eggs, or you can use a pastry bag to create decorative swirls. You can also sprinkle the eggs with paprika, chopped herbs, or grated cheese.

Conclusion:

Spicy deviled eggs are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. With a little creativity, you can create a variety of different flavors and presentations that will impress your guests. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy party snack, give these spicy deviled eggs a try!
