Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before starting to cook, make sure to have all your ingredients prepped and measured, and all your cooking utensils within reach. This will help you cook more efficiently and avoid scrambling.
  • Use a Wok or Large Skillet: A wok or large skillet is ideal for stir-fries as it allows for even heat distribution and tossing of the ingredients. If you don't have a wok or large skillet, you can use a large saucepan, but make sure it's big enough to hold all the ingredients comfortably.
  • High Heat: Stir-fries are cooked over high heat to quickly sear the ingredients and retain their鮮豔的 colors and crisp textures. Make sure your wok or skillet is very hot before adding the ingredients.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Wok: To ensure even cooking, avoid overcrowding the wok or skillet. Cook the ingredients in batches if necessary.
  • Toss and Stir: Stir-fries are all about tossing and stirring the ingredients to ensure even cooking and prevent them from sticking to the wok or skillet. Use a spatula or tongs to gently toss and stir the ingredients.
  • Cook in Stages: Different ingredients have different cooking times, so it's important to cook them in stages. Start with the vegetables that take longer to cook, such as broccoli and carrots, and then add the quicker-cooking ingredients, such as shrimp and chicken.
  • Use a Sauce or Marinade: A sauce or marinade not only adds flavor to the stir-fry but also helps to keep the ingredients moist and tender. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own.
  • Serve Immediately: Stir-fries are best served immediately after cooking, while they are still hot and fresh. You can garnish the dish with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, or crushed peanuts for extra flavor and texture.
