The Easiest Fresh Peach Cobbler Ever! image

I think I saw this on TV one time...I really don't remember! I made this a few years ago, the very first time I made homemade fried chicken, and realized, hey, I can cook! :) But, this really is a super, super easy recipe that tastes like you worked really hard making it! ;) And yes, the batter rises to the top of the peaches!

EASIEST PEACH COBBLER

Easiest Peach Cobbler image

This is the easiest desert I have ever made. I had the idea as a poor college student who rarely shopped anywhere but Walgreens. There are, consequently, only two ingredients. Because there are no raw ingredients, I often under-cook the cake so that it is still a bit gooey. Great as a desert or for brunch.

Time 25m

Yield 8-10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 2

2 (15 1/4 ounce) cans peaches
1 (18 1/4 ounce) box yellow cake mix

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 and grease a 9x13 cake pan.
  • Reserve approximately 1/2 cup of cake mix.
  • Pour the contents of the peach cans (including juice!) into a large mixing bowl. Add to this the larger portion of the cake mix and stir to combine.
  • Empty the batter into the greased cake pan and sprinkle the top with the reserved cake mix. Bake.

Tips:

  • Use ripe and juicy peaches: Choose peaches that are fragrant and slightly soft to the touch. Avoid peaches that are hard or bruised.
  • Peel the peaches: For a smoother cobbler filling, peel the peaches before slicing them. You can use a paring knife or a vegetable peeler to remove the skin.
  • Add some spices: To enhance the flavor of the cobbler, add a dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, or ginger to the peach filling.
  • Use a biscuit mix: For a quick and easy cobbler topping, use a biscuit mix instead of making your own dough. Just follow the instructions on the package.
  • Bake until golden brown: Bake the cobbler until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. This usually takes about 30-40 minutes.

Conclusion:

This easy-to-follow recipe is the perfect way to enjoy the fresh flavors of summer peaches. With its simple ingredients and step-by-step instructions, you'll be able to create a delicious peach cobbler that your whole family will love.
