Categories     Food & Cooking     Salad Recipes

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 pounds trimmed green beans
Extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup dried cranberries
Coarse salt

Steps:

  • Steam green beans in 3/4 inch boiling water until tender, about 6 minutes. Drain; transfer to a serving dish. Drizzle with olive oil, and toss with cranberries. Season with salt.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh, tender green beans: Avoid limp or discolored beans, as they will not have the best flavor or texture.
  • Trim the green beans properly: Cut off the stem ends and any tough strings that run along the sides of the beans.
  • Soak the green beans before cooking: This will help to reduce the cooking time and make the beans more tender.
  • Use a variety of spices in your curry powder: This will give the dish a more complex flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to adjust the recipe to your taste: Add more or less spice, depending on your preference.

Conclusion:

Dry curried green beans is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a quick and healthy meal. The green beans are tender and flavorful, and the curry powder gives the dish a warm and inviting aroma. This dish is also a great way to get your daily dose of vegetables. Serve dry curried green beans with rice, naan, or roti for a complete meal. You can also add other vegetables to the dish, such as potatoes, carrots, or peas. If you are looking for a vegan version of this dish, simply omit the ghee and use vegetable oil instead.
