1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup mini chocolate chip
1 cup butter, melted
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Wash and dry jars and lids in the dishwasher.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt in a quart jar, pack firmly and brush residue off the insides of the jar with a pastry brush.
  • Add cocoa, pack firmly and brush sides.
  • Add sugar, pack and brush.
  • Add chocolate chips and seal.
  • Attach the following recipe:.
  • 1 jar brownie mix.
  • 1 cup butter melted.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing and flouring.
  • Place brownie mix in a bowl and stir to mix.
  • Add butter, eggs and vanilla and mix until well blended.
  • Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes.
  • Cool completely before cutting.

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
⅓ cup flaked coconut
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
¾ cup white sugar
⅓ cup chopped pecans
⅔ cup packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • In a 1 quart or 1 liter jar, layer the ingredients in the order listed. Pack down firmly after each addition.
  • Attach a note with the following instructions: Brownie Mix 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch square pan. 2. In a large bowl, stir together 2 eggs, 2/3 cup oil, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in the contents of the jar, and mix well. Spread evenly into the prepared pan. 3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the brownies comes out clean. Cool, and cut into squares.
