Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 lb butter, softened
3/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 c granulated sugar
3 oz pkg. jell-o cheesecake flavored instant pudding
3 oz pkg.jell-o orange jell-o
2 large eggs
1 tsp orange extract
1 c white baking chips

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350^. Sift together the first 3 ingredients in a large bowl . Set aside. In a large mixer bowl; beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add dry instant pudding, then dry jell-O, mixing well. Add eggs and orange extract, mixing until well blended. Slowly add flour mixture, mixing well. Using a standard ice cream scoop(2 oz.) , or rounded Tablespoonful;drop dough onto an un-greased cookie sheet. For 2 oz. cookies, bake at 350^ for 16-18 minutes. For rounded Tablespoon- size cookies, bake 12-14 minutes.Cool on sheet one minute, then transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.

Tips:

  • For the best results, use high-quality ingredients. Fresh, cold heavy cream and butter will help the cookies set up properly.
  • Be sure to chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
  • Bake the cookies until they are set around the edges but still slightly soft in the center. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before frosting them. This will help the frosting set up properly.

Conclusion:

These Dreamsicle Cookies are a delicious and refreshing treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. So next time you are looking for a fun and festive dessert, give these cookies a try!
