Number Of Ingredients 6

1/3 cup cold milk

1 lb confectioners' sugar

  • Prepare as above; omit vanilla and substitute 2 tablespoons lemon or orange juice for the 2 tablespoons milk. Add 1 teaspoon grated lemon or orange rind after beating in butter.

  • Use cold ingredients: Cold ingredients will help the frosting to whip up better and hold its shape.
  • Whip the frosting until stiff peaks form: This will ensure that the frosting is thick and fluffy.
  • Add flavorings and colorings: You can add any flavorings or colorings that you like to the frosting.
  • Use the frosting immediately: Dream Whip frosting is best used immediately after it is made. It will start to lose its volume if it sits for too long.
