FLUFFY BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

Fluffy Buttercream Frosting image

I made the Super Moist White Cake recipe from, Gail Herbest, and then frosted it with this really fluffy buttercream frosting. It tastes fantastic and it's really fluffy and soft. A bit too soft for creating roses, but edge piping is perfect. This is going to be a winner!

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c butter, softened
1 pkg dream whip (4 tablespoons)
4 c powdered sugar
pinch salt
1/3 c whipping cream
1 Tbsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. With a mixer, beat the butter for 1 minute. Then add the powdered sugar, Package of Dream Whip, salt, whipping cream and the vanilla. Mix on low speed until all combined then on high speed for 4-5 minutes.

Tips:

  • For a richer frosting, use heavy cream instead of milk.
  • If you don't have a stand mixer, you can make this frosting with a hand mixer or even a whisk, but it will take a little longer.
  • Be sure to whip the cream until it is stiff peaks before adding the other ingredients. This will help the frosting to hold its shape.
  • Add the powdered sugar gradually, mixing well after each addition. This will help to prevent the frosting from becoming too thick or lumpy.
  • For a flavored frosting, add a teaspoon or two of your favorite extract, such as vanilla, almond, or coconut.
  • This frosting can be used to frost cakes, cupcakes, cookies, or other desserts. It can also be piped into decorative shapes or used as a filling.

Conclusion:

Dream whip butter frosting is a delicious, light, and fluffy frosting that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced baker, this frosting is sure to be a hit.
