Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Short ribs are the best choice for this recipe, as they have a good amount of meat and connective tissue, which helps to create a tender and flavorful dish.
  • Trim the ribs: Before cooking, trim the ribs to remove any excess fat or silverskin. This will help the ribs to cook evenly and prevent them from becoming too greasy.
  • Season the ribs: Season the ribs liberally with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices. This will help to enhance the flavor of the ribs and create a delicious crust.
  • Braise the ribs: Braising is a great way to cook short ribs, as it allows them to cook slowly and evenly. To braise the ribs, place them in a Dutch oven or slow cooker with some liquid, such as beef broth or beer. Cover the pot and cook the ribs for several hours, or until they are tender.
  • Finish the ribs on the grill: For a smoky flavor, finish the ribs on the grill. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and cook the ribs for a few minutes per side, or until they are charred and slightly crispy.

Conclusion:

Downhome Barbecue Beef Short Ribs are a delicious and satisfying dish that is perfect for any occasion. The ribs are tender, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone. The barbecue sauce is rich and tangy, and the crispy onions add a nice crunch. This recipe is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
