Time 5m

Yield 3/4 cup

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 garlic clove, finely chopped
2 tablespoons whole grain mustard (or Dijon mustard)
1/4 cup champagne vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons honey
2 -3 dashes hot sauce (Frank's or Texas Pete is good)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Whisk together the garlic, mustard, champagne vinegar, lemon juice, honey, hot sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  • Slowly whisk in the oil until the dressing is emulsified.
  • Or you can place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree until smooth. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use high-quality olive oil and champagne vinegar. Look for extra-virgin olive oil that is dark green in color and has a fruity aroma. Champagne vinegar should be pale yellow in color and have a slightly sweet and tangy taste.
  • Use a whisk to emulsify the dressing. This will help the oil and vinegar to combine and create a smooth, creamy dressing.
  • Add the dressing to your salad just before serving. This will help to prevent the salad from becoming soggy.
  • Store the dressing in a airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • Experiment with different variations of the dressing. You can add herbs, spices, or even fruit to create a unique and flavorful dressing.

Conclusion:

Champagne vinaigrette is a versatile and delicious dressing that can be used on a variety of salads. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With its light and refreshing flavor, champagne vinaigrette is a perfect way to dress up your next salad.
