Tips:

  • To achieve a creamy coleslaw dressing, use mayonnaise as the base and add sour cream or yogurt for extra richness.
  • For a tangy dressing, incorporate vinegar or lemon juice. Apple cider vinegar is a popular choice for coleslaw, but white vinegar or rice vinegar can also be used.
  • Add sweetness to the dressing with sugar, honey, or maple syrup. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste, as the coleslaw mix itself may contribute some sweetness.
  • Enhance the flavor of the dressing with spices like celery seeds, dry mustard, or freshly ground black pepper.
  • For a more robust dressing, include finely chopped onion, garlic, or herbs such as dill, parsley, or chives.
  • Adjust the consistency of the dressing by adding milk or water if it's too thick, or more mayonnaise if it's too thin.
  • Always taste the dressing before using it on the coleslaw and adjust the seasonings as needed.

Donna's coleslaw dressing is a versatile and flavorful addition to any coleslaw recipe. With its creamy texture, tangy flavor, and customizable ingredients, it's sure to become a favorite.
