Tips:

  • Choose high-quality steak: Opt for tender cuts like ribeye, strip loin, or flank steak. Look for well-marbled meat with a bright red color.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating tenderizes the meat and infuses it with flavor. Use a marinade with acidic ingredients like lemon juice or vinegar, herbs, spices, and olive oil.
  • Cut the steak into uniform pieces: This ensures even cooking. Aim for pieces that are about 1-inch thick and 2-inches long.
  • Skewer the steak properly: Thread the steak pieces onto skewers, alternating with vegetables or other desired ingredients. Make sure the meat is snugly secured to prevent it from falling off during cooking.
  • Preheat your grill or pan: A hot cooking surface is essential for getting a good sear on the steak. Preheat your grill or pan over medium-high heat before adding the kabobs.
  • Cook the kabobs over medium-high heat: This will create a nice crust on the outside while keeping the inside tender and juicy. Cook the kabobs for 8-10 minutes, turning them occasionally, or until the steak reaches your desired doneness.
  • Let the kabobs rest before serving: This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more flavorful and tender steak.
