I made a batch according to the instructions below and it was close, so I will update as soon as I get ahold of the publishers. These biscuits are DARN GOOD!

GARLIC CHEESE BISCUITS

Garlic Cheese Biscuits image

This is the recipe I found that comes the closest to the Red Lobster biscuits. (I don't recall where I got it from). They are delicious and asked for all the time at my house!

Provided by CrazyRedHead

Categories     Breads

Time 20m

Yield 12 biscuits, 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Mix Bisquick, milk and cheddar cheese until a soft ball forms.
  • Beat vigorously for 30 seconds.
  • Drob by balls onto ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 munutes.
  • Melt butter.
  • Mix butter and garlic salt.
  • Brush garlic butter on rolls while still hot on the pan.
  • (I actually brush garlic butter on before putting them in the oven and again couple times while cooking, too. Then again right before serving).

Tips:

  • Use cold butter: This will help the biscuits be flaky and tender. If you don't have time to chill the butter, you can freeze it for 15 minutes before grating it.
  • Don't overwork the dough: Overworking the dough will make the biscuits tough. Mix the ingredients just until they come together.
  • Use a sharp knife or biscuit cutter: A sharp knife or biscuit cutter will help you get clean, even cuts. If you don't have a biscuit cutter, you can use a glass or cup.
  • Bake the biscuits until they are golden brown: The biscuits are done baking when they are golden brown on top and the edges are slightly brown.
  • Serve the biscuits warm: These biscuits are best served warm out of the oven. You can also reheat them in the oven or microwave.

Conclusion:

These Dixie Stampede Garlic Cheese Biscuits are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. They are flaky, cheesy, and garlicky, and they are sure to be a hit with your family and friends. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy biscuit recipe, give these Dixie Stampede Garlic Cheese Biscuits a try.
