ORIGINAL NO-BAKE DIRT PIE WITH WORMS

Original No-Bake Dirt Pie With Worms image

This pie is so easy to make and is ALWAYS the first thing to go at pot lucks! Everyone loves this and kids and adults ask for me to make this for parties. You can substitute "light" ingredients, but it loses something with the "fat free" stuff.

DIRT PIE

Mmmmm...a rich Oreo pie without the cream cheese. You can add gummy worms in as well, but I don't like the taste or the texture.

Time 10m

Yield 1 pie, 9 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 9-inch Oreo cookie pie crust
20 crushed Oreo cookies
1 container Cool Whip
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 package chocolate pudding mix
1 cup cold milk

Steps:

  • Mix together pudding and cold milk, let stand 5 minutes.
  • Fold in cool whip.
  • Mix in chips and 3/4 cookie crumbs.
  • Pour into pie crust.
  • Sprinkle with remaining cookie crumbs.
  • Top with additional oreos (optional).
  • Freeze until firm or serve chilled.

Tips:

  • Choose the right pudding mix. Chocolate, vanilla, or butterscotch are all popular choices. If you're using a sugar-free pudding mix, be sure to use the same amount of milk as directed on the package.
  • Don't overmix the pudding. Overmixing can cause the pudding to become grainy.
  • Chill the pudding thoroughly before layering it in the crust. This will help to prevent the layers from mixing together.
  • Use a variety of toppings. Crushed Oreos, chopped nuts, chocolate chips, and whipped cream are all great options.
  • Serve the pie immediately or chill it for later. Dirt pie is best served cold.

Conclusion:

Dirt pie is a fun and easy dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's a great way to use up leftover pudding and cookies, and it's a perfect dessert for parties or potlucks. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and impressive dirt pie that will be the hit of any gathering.
