Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use high-quality Dijon mustard. Look for a brand that is made with whole grain mustard seeds and has a sharp, tangy flavor.
  • If you don't have any Dijon mustard on hand, you can substitute yellow mustard. However, the flavor will be milder.
  • To make the ham braid easier to assemble, use a sharp knife to score the ham slices before rolling them up.
  • If you're using a pre-cooked ham, be sure to heat it through before assembling the braid.
  • To prevent the braid from drying out, brush it with melted butter or olive oil before baking.
  • Serve the ham braid warm or at room temperature. It's also delicious the next day cold.

Conclusion:

The Dijon ham braid is a versatile dish that can be served as an appetizer, main course, or even a sandwich. It's easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. So next time you're looking for a delicious and impressive dish to serve, give the Dijon ham braid a try.
