Tips:
- Use fresh, hard-boiled eggs for the best results. Older eggs may have a greenish tint to the yolk, which can affect the color of the casserole.
- Be sure to mash the egg yolks until they are smooth and creamy. Any lumps will make the casserole less appealing.
- Use a combination of mayonnaise and sour cream for the best flavor and texture. Mayonnaise alone can be too thick, while sour cream alone can be too thin.
- Season the casserole to taste. A little bit of salt, pepper, and paprika can go a long way.
- Top the casserole with cheese before baking. This will give it a golden brown crust and help to hold it together.
- Bake the casserole until it is set in the center. This will usually take about 30 minutes.
- Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. This will make it easier to cut and will help to prevent it from falling apart.
Conclusion:
Deviled egg casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. It can be served as an appetizer, a side dish, or even a main course. With its creamy texture, flavorful filling, and cheesy topping, deviled egg casserole is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
