ABSOLUTELY BEST BROWNIES

Absolutely Best Brownies image

This are the easiest and most delicious brownies that I have ever eaten. They are so moist and super quick and easy to make. For best results, use a Dutch processed cocoa. For less cake-like brownies, use all-purpose flour instead of self rising.

Tips:

  • Choose the right flour: Self-rising flour contains baking powder and salt, making it a convenient choice for many desserts. However, if you don't have self-rising flour on hand, you can make your own by adding 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to every cup of all-purpose flour.
  • Measure your ingredients accurately: Baking is a science, and precise measurements are essential for success. Use measuring cups and spoons that are specifically designed for cooking, and level off dry ingredients with a knife or straight edge.
  • Don't overmix your batter or dough: Overmixing can develop the gluten in flour, resulting in a tough, dense texture. Mix just until the ingredients are combined, and be careful not to overwork the dough when rolling or kneading.
  • Preheat your oven: Always preheat your oven to the desired temperature before baking. This helps ensure that your food cooks evenly and prevents it from becoming dry.
  • Don't open the oven door during baking: Opening the oven door during baking can cause the temperature to drop, which can interfere with the cooking process. Try to resist the urge to peek, and wait until the timer goes off before checking on your dessert.

Conclusion:

With its versatility and convenience, self-rising flour is an excellent choice for a wide variety of desserts. From fluffy pancakes and muffins to flaky biscuits and tender cakes, the possibilities are endless. Whether you're a seasoned baker or just starting out, these recipes using self-rising flour are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and impress your friends and family.
