  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in eggs. In another bowl, whisk flour and baking soda; gradually beat into creamed mixture. 1 ½ cups pitted dates
¼ cup white sugar
1 pinch salt
1 ¼ cups water
1 teaspoon lemon zest
4 teaspoons lemon juice
⅔ cup finely chopped walnuts
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ cup butter
½ cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
