SUPER FAST AND EASY MICROWAVE CHOCOLATE PUDDING

Super Fast and Easy Microwave Chocolate Pudding image

I'm mostly posting this so I don't have to go hunting for it every time I want to make it. My mom gave it to me ages ago, and while it isn't the most life changing pudding in the universe it's rediculously fast to make, can be easily varried a number of ways to suit your mood and is plenty tasty for those nights when you want pudding NOW! I like to use a shallow glass container so that it cooks faster. You can leave out the chocolate for vanilla pudding. I like to make it with Silk Nog Soymilk around the hollidays.

CHOCOLATE PUDDING FOR ONE

Chocolate Pudding for One image

Looking for that chocolate pudding fix, and don't want to make alot ? Then here's the recipe to try. I found the basic recipe in the TOH 's 2001 Annual recipes, it was sent in to them by Anne Boesiger of Meridian, Idaho. Since I like a thicker and more intense chocolate flavor, the amounts of cornstarch and chocolate were changed. The database wouldn't let me add just a pinch of salt, so I had to put 1/8 teaspoon. Also, the way that the ingredients were added was changed too. Chill time is included in cook time. The longer you let this chill, the more intense the chocolate flavor will be. Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • If you don't have a microwave-safe mug, you can use a small bowl and place it in the center of the microwave.
  • Be careful not to overcook the pudding, as it can become rubbery.
  • If you want a thicker pudding, add an extra tablespoon of cornstarch.
  • For a lighter pudding, use milk instead of heavy cream.
  • Top the pudding with whipped cream, chocolate chips, or fresh berries.

Conclusion:

This microwave chocolate pudding is a quick and easy dessert that is perfect for one person. It is rich, creamy, and chocolatey, and it can be made in just a few minutes. So next time you have a chocolate craving, give this recipe a try.
