Tips:
- Use a variety of apples. This will give your pie a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady.
- Peel and core your apples before slicing them. This will help to prevent the apples from browning and will make it easier to slice them evenly.
- Don't overfill your pie crust. You should have about 1 inch of space between the top of the apples and the rim of the crust.
- Brush the edges of the pie crust with milk before baking. This will help to create a golden brown crust.
- Bake the pie for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Let the pie cool for at least 1 hour before serving. This will allow the filling to set and the flavors to meld.
