DAD'S SIMPLE STEAK MARINADE

Dad's Simple Steak Marinade image

This recipe is one my father taught me. It is the simplest homemade marinade! Just 5 common ingredients! When used overnight, the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic make flank, skirt and sirloin steaks flavorful and, most importantly, tender for the grill! For more flavor, add Kosher salt and cracked black pepper to your steak while it cooks. Red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar may be substituted for the red wine.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of steak: Rib-eye steaks are a great choice for grilling because they are flavorful and juicy. Other good options include strip steaks, T-bone steaks, and porterhouse steaks.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak helps to tenderize it and add flavor. There are many different marinades that you can use, but a simple olive oil, garlic, and herb marinade is always a good option.
  • Grill the steak over high heat: This will help to sear the outside of the steak and keep it juicy on the inside. Cook the steak for 3-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest before serving: This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, making it more tender and flavorful.
  • Serve the steak with your favorite sides: Grilled vegetables, roasted potatoes, and mashed potatoes are all great options.

Conclusion:

Dad's Grilled Rib-Eye Steak Marinade is a simple but delicious way to cook a perfect steak. The marinade is easy to make and can be used on any type of steak. The grilled steak is juicy, flavorful, and sure to be a hit at your next cookout.
