You can add other vegetables if you want (i.e. green onions, fennel, mushrooms, etc.). It can also be made with ground pork.

Tips:

  • To make the best Salisbury steaks, use a combination of ground beef and ground pork. This will give the steaks a more flavorful and moist texture.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture. Overmixing will make the steaks tough.
  • Use a large skillet to cook the steaks. This will prevent them from overcrowding and ensure that they cook evenly.
  • Sear the steaks over medium-high heat until they are browned on all sides. This will help to seal in the juices and prevent the steaks from drying out.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook the steaks for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
  • Serve the Salisbury steaks with your favorite gravy and mashed potatoes.

Conclusion:

Salisbury steaks are a classic comfort food that is easy to make and always a hit with the family. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can have a delicious and satisfying meal on the table in no time. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy dinner idea, give Salisbury steaks a try. You won't be disappointed.
