Tips:

  • Use a quality BBQ sauce. This is the key to great BBQ chicken. Look for a sauce that is thick and flavorful, with a good balance of sweet, smoky, and tangy flavors.
  • Marinate the chicken. Marinating the chicken helps to tenderize it and infuse it with flavor. You can use any type of marinade you like, but a simple mixture of olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper is a good place to start.
  • Cook the chicken over indirect heat. This will help to prevent the chicken from drying out. If you are using a charcoal grill, bank the coals to one side and cook the chicken on the other side. If you are using a gas grill, turn off one burner and cook the chicken over the other burner.
  • Cook the chicken until it is cooked through. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit. You can check the temperature using a meat thermometer.
  • Baste the chicken with BBQ sauce. Basting the chicken with BBQ sauce helps to keep it moist and flavorful. You can baste the chicken every few minutes during the last 10 minutes of cooking.

Daddy's BBQ Chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are grilling for a backyard party or just cooking a weeknight meal, this recipe is sure to please everyone at the table. So fire up the grill and get cooking!
