1 can (15 1/4 ounces) sliced pears, drained
1 can (15 1/4 ounces) sliced peaches, drained
1 can (15 1/4 ounces) apricot halves, drained
1/2 cup maraschino cherries, drained
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
2 to 3 teaspoons curry powder

Steps:

  • Arrange pineapple, pears, peaches, apricots and cherries in 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker. Mix remaining ingredients; spoon over fruit.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting 3 to 4 hours to develop the flavors.
  • Serve warm or chilled. To chill, cool about 2 hours, then spoon fruit into container; cover and refrigerate until chilled.

6 ounces fruit cocktail, Dole's Very Cherry
4 ounces pineapple chunks
4 ham steaks, Toupie Style
2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon curry powder, increase if desired (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Drain all fruit; RESERVE all liquid.
  • Cut each ham slice in half and layer in baking pan.
  • Pour 1/2 of reserved fruit liquid over ham.
  • Bake in 350°F oven for 20 minutes, basting occasionally.
  • Meanwhile melt margarine in saucepan; stir in brown sugar, the remaining reserved fruit liquid and the curry powder.
  • Add fruit to mixture, cover and cook over very low heat for 15 minutes or until ham is ready, stirring occasionally.
  • Transfer ham to serving platter; spoon fruit mixture over ham.

1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
1 (15 ounce) can apricot halves, drained
2 (15 ounce) cans sliced peaches
1 (4 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
¼ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
3 teaspoons curry powder
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
  • Drain the fruit and arrange it in an oven-proof casserole dish. Dot the fruit with butter or margarine. Mix the sugars and the curry powder together, sprinkle over the top of the fruit.

Steps:
