EVERYTHING COOKIES!

Everything Cookies! image

This one has a bit of everything I like in a cookie-chocolate, oats, nuts and coconut. A friend of mine gave me a recipe for them, but I made some changes. I find that when you cut sugar, you can actually taste the other ingredients better. I also increased the coconut and oats.

ONE CUP OF EVERYTHING COOKIES

One Cup of Everything Cookies image

I make these cookies quite often and they are a big hit with my teenage daughter and her friends. If you don't like one of the ingredients you can omit and just add more of the ones you like.

Provided by kay d

Categories     Cookies

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 c margarine, softened
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c white sugar
3 eggs
1 c all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp baking soda
1 c smooth peanut butter
1 c raisins
1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c oats, quick cooking
1 c coconut
1 c chopped nuts, pecans or walnuts
1 c mini m & m's

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2. Cream together margarine and sugars. Add eggs one at a time.
  • 3. Combine flour and baking soda together and add to creamed mixture.
  • 4. Add the remaining ingredients.
  • 5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls (i use a small ice cream scoop) onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips:

  • Use room temperature ingredients: This will help your cookies spread and bake more evenly.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing can make your cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature: The temperature of your oven will affect the way your cookies bake. Be sure to preheat your oven to the correct temperature before baking.
  • Don't overbake the cookies: Overbaked cookies will be dry and crumbly. Bake the cookies just until they are set and the edges are just starting to brown.

Conclusion:

Cup of Everything Cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With their chewy texture, sweet flavor, and variety of mix-ins, these cookies are sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
