Categories     Food & Cooking     Healthy Recipes     Gluten-Free Recipes

Yield Makes 6 cups

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cucumbers, seeded and cut into 1/4-inch dice
2 cups mayonnaise
2 cups sour cream
1 small onion, finely diced
1 large garlic clove, finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh dill
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup white vinegar

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap, and place in refrigerator until dressing is well chilled.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cucumbers: For best results, use fresh, crisp cucumbers. English cucumbers are a good choice, as they have fewer seeds and a milder flavor.
  • Slice the cucumbers thinly: This will help them absorb the dressing better. You can use a mandoline or a sharp knife to slice the cucumbers.
  • Make the dressing ahead of time: This will allow the flavors to meld together. You can store the dressing in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Serve the cucumbers chilled: This will make them even more refreshing.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs: Dill, chives, or parsley are all good choices.

Conclusion:

Cucumbers with Dressing is a refreshing and flavorful side dish that is perfect for summer gatherings. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With so many different variations to choose from, you are sure to find a recipe that you and your family will love.
