Time 55m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/4 c butter
1/2 20 oz can(s) crushed pineapples, drained
1 c pineapple juice, from draining the can
1 c milk
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp vanilla
4 eggs
3/4 c sugar
1/2 c flour

Steps:

  • 1. ***If your pineapple juice doesn't equal 1 cup then make up the difference by adding milk.
  • 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter deep dish pie pan.
  • 3. Throw everything into a blender and blend for 45 seconds on high. If you like coconut it is a perfect addition add half a cup before blending.
  • 4. Pour into buttered pie pan. If you added coconut, sprinkle a little on the top.

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use fresh pineapple. If using canned pineapple, be sure to drain it well and pat it dry.
  • To make the pie ahead of time, bake it and let it cool completely. Then, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When ready to serve, let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • If you don't have a 9-inch pie plate, you can use a 10-inch pie plate. Just be sure to adjust the baking time accordingly. For a 10-inch pie, bake for 45-50 minutes.
  • To make a gluten-free pie, use gluten-free flour in place of all-purpose flour.
  • To make a vegan pie, use vegan butter and milk in place of regular butter and milk.
