Tips:

  • For a crispy bread twist, make sure to use cold butter. This will help the butter stay solid in the dough and create steam pockets when baking, resulting in a flaky texture.
  • If you don't have a stand mixer, you can make the dough by hand. Just be sure to knead it for at least 5 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size. This will take about 1 hour.
  • When shaping the bread twists, be sure to roll them tightly. This will help them hold their shape while baking.
  • Brush the bread twists with melted butter before baking. This will help them brown and give them a shiny crust.
  • Sprinkle the bread twists with garlic salt and rosemary before baking. This will give them a delicious flavor.
