Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: Use firm, crisp apples that will hold their shape when cooked. Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn apples are all good choices.
  • Slice the apples evenly: This will help them cook evenly. Use a sharp knife to cut the apples into 1/2-inch thick rings.
  • Coat the apples in a mixture of flour, sugar, and cinnamon: This will help them crisp up and caramelize in the oven.
  • Bake the apples in a single layer: This will help them cook evenly. If you crowd the apples in the pan, they will steam instead of bake.
  • Bake the apples until they are golden brown and tender: This usually takes about 15-20 minutes. Check the apples frequently to make sure they don't overcook.
  • Serve the apples warm or at room temperature: They can be served on their own or with ice cream, whipped cream, or yogurt.

Conclusion:

Crunchy apple rings are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or dessert. They are perfect for a party or potluck, and they can also be enjoyed as a healthy breakfast or lunch. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make your own delicious crunchy apple rings at home.
