CROCKPOT SEAFOOD CHEESE DIP

Crockpot Seafood Cheese Dip image

One of our family'sfavorite savory cheese dips with delicate crabmeat, shrimp and lobster, crockpot style. Perfect for potlucks and holiday gatherings, this has since been requested year after year for Christmas parties. You can use whatever mix of seafood you have on hand - I've frequently done it with just the crab, or only crab and shrimp, and it is still delicious.

Tips:

  • Fresh is best: For the best flavor, use fresh seafood. If you can't find fresh seafood, frozen seafood that has been thawed is also a good option.
  • Don't overcook the seafood: Seafood cooks quickly, so be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked seafood will be tough and chewy.
  • Use a good quality cheese: The cheese is a key ingredient in this dip, so it's important to use a good quality cheese that you enjoy.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment: This recipe is a great starting point, but you can feel free to experiment with different ingredients and flavors. For example, you could add chopped vegetables, herbs, or spices to the dip.
