4 russet potatoes (diced)
4 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 onion (chopped)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup parmesan cheese for toppings

Steps:

  • Brown the ground sausage and drain any remaining fat.
  • Add to the slow cooker. I used a 6 quart slow cooker.
  • Place in the minced garlic, onion, potato, salt, pepper, and broth.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cook on low for 5-6 hours on low.

1/2 pound smoked kielbasa, diced
6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 cups frozen corn
1-1/2 cups chicken broth
1 celery rib, sliced
1/4 cup sliced carrot
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1-1/2 cups whole milk
2/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, brown sausage; drain. Set sausage aside. In the same pan, combine the potatoes, corn, broth, celery, carrot and seasonings. 1 lb sausage (breakfast type)
4 potatoes, cut in cubes
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 celery rib, chopped
1 large carrot, chopped
1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Brown sausage and onion in a skillet. Drain well.
  • Place potatoes, celery and carrot in bottom of crock pot. Add sausage and onion mixture. Pour chicken broth over vegetables and sausage.
