6 pork loin chops with bone

1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
6 red potatoes, unpeeled, cut into thin slices
1 onion, sliced
chopped fresh parsley

  • Choose thick-cut pork chops (at least 1 inch thick) to ensure they stay juicy and tender during cooking.
  • Season the pork chops liberally with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. This will help enhance their flavor.
  • Sear the pork chops in a skillet over medium-high heat before adding them to the slow cooker. This will help develop a nice crust and lock in the juices.
  • Use a variety of vegetables in your recipe. This will add flavor and color to the dish.
  • Add a cup of water or broth to the slow cooker. This will help prevent the pork chops from drying out.
