CROCK POT PIZZA

Crock Pot Pizza image

For all the pizza lovers this recipe is quick and easy and a big hit with kids.

Provided by jamie obrien

Categories     Pizza

Time 1h30m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 pkg 16 oz. egg noodles
1 1/2 jar(s) spaghetti sauce
1 pkg pepperoni
1 pkg shredded cheese
1 1/2 lb hamburger meat or sausage

Steps:

  • 1. I use a 5 qt crock-pot and turn it on high before I start to prepare anything. Boil noodles according to package. Brown hamburger or sausage meat until done and add spaghetti sauce until warm. I use Ragu Mamas special garden sauce, but you can use whatever sauce you like. I use about 1 1/2-2 jars of spaghetti sauce.
  • 2. After the sauce and noodles are done: put a layer of sauce on the bottom of the crock-pot, followed by the noodles, pepperoni and then cheese.. I usually get about 4 layers out of this. Then put the lid on the crock pot and cook for about 45 minutes to an hour or until all the cheese is melted through and Enjoy!! :-)
  • 3. You can also add any other toppings you would like, i've tried canadian bacon with the pepperoni and that is good as well. I also use the mexican style or fiesta blend shredded cheese, I get the bag that has about 4 cups of cheese in it. You can easily double the recipe or cut it in half. I also make garlic bread with it and corn, and it is a perfect, easy meal!! :-)

Tips:

  • Use a slow cooker with a lid that fits tightly to prevent moisture from evaporating.
  • For a crispier crust, pre-bake the pizza crust for 5-10 minutes before adding the toppings.
  • If you are using a store-bought pizza crust, be sure to thaw it completely before using.
  • Use a variety of toppings to create a delicious and flavorful pizza.
  • Be careful not to overload the pizza with toppings, or it will not cook evenly.
  • Cook the pizza on low for 2-3 hours, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Conclusion:

Making pizza in a crock pot is a great way to enjoy a delicious and easy meal. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a pizza that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are feeding a crowd or just looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, crock pot pizza is a great option. So next time you are craving pizza, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
