An easy way to make garlic mashed potatoes. I like to leave the skins on. I've found that a pastry blender works great for mashing potatoes; it seems even better than a masher.

12 medium sized red potatoes
6 to 8 clove fresh garlic minced
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 c sour cream
6 Tbsp salted butter
salt to taste

Steps:

  • 4. Put potatoes in crock pot and turn on low to keep warm till served.

Tips:

  • Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes: These are the best potatoes for mashed potatoes because they have a high starch content, which makes them creamy and fluffy.
  • Peel and cut the potatoes evenly: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Use chicken broth or milk: This will add flavor and richness to the mashed potatoes.
  • Add butter and sour cream: These ingredients will make the mashed potatoes extra creamy and delicious.
  • Garlic is key: This recipe uses a generous amount of garlic, which gives the mashed potatoes a delicious savory flavor.
  • Don't overcook the potatoes: Overcooked potatoes will be dry and gummy.
  • Mash the potatoes until they are smooth and creamy: You can use a potato masher, a food processor, or a stand mixer.
  • Serve the mashed potatoes immediately: Mashed potatoes are best when they are hot and fresh.

Conclusion:

This crock pot garlic mashed potatoes recipe is an easy and delicious way to make a classic side dish.
