Time 7h15m

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 pork chops (thick with bone-in is best, about 3 lbs )
salt & pepper to taste
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
10.5 oz canned cream of mushroom soup
10.5 oz canned cream of chicken soup
¾ cup beef broth (I prefer low sodium)
2 cups mushrooms (sliced)
1 small onion (sliced)

Steps:

  • Preheat oil over medium-high heat. Season pork with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Brown pork on each side (about 3 minutes each side).
  • Remove pork, add soup and broth to the pan and whisk to release any brown bits in the bottom.
  • Place mushrooms and onions in the bottom of the slow cooker. Top with pork and pour the soup mixture over the top.
  • Cook on low for 7-8 hours or until pork is tender. Thicken sauce with a slurry (see notes) if desired. Serve over rice, potatoes or noodles.

CROCK POT CHOPS THAT WILL MAKE YOU EAT TIL YOU POP!

Crock Pot Chops That Will Make You Eat Til You Pop! image

These have to be, hands down, the BEST meal I have EVER made in a crock pot. I borrowed a friend's crock pot one weekend and made this for my honey. Low and behold, I got a crock pot for my next birthday along with a request for this recipe to be the first thing I made. I really wish I know where I got the recipe from because I would LOVE to give credit for it. I beg of you, do yourself a favor and try this. You will NOT regret it. Let me know what you think!!

CROCK POT CHOPS

These sweet and tangy pork chops smell great as they cook all day and are a wonderful meal to come home to. Other cuts of pork would work in this recipe as well. Try some economical pork steak or a roast. I have even done this with strips and cubes and served over white rice. If you are salt sensitive you can use low sodium soy sauce. I use chenin blanc for the wine or a good chardonnay. Reisling might be a great sweeter wine to try here! A salad or veggie rounds out this meal really well.

Time 6h15m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 pork chops, about 1 in thick
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium is fine)
1/4 cup white wine (NOT cooking wine)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Steps:

  • Spray crock pot with cooking spray and place all ingredients inside.
  • REVISED: Some reviews stated that the meat was dry and cooked too long so I am revising the cooking time to low for 6 hours or until chops are tender. My crock is old and probably cooks slower- sorry!
  • Remove chops and thicken liquid in pot with a slurry of 1 TABLEspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 TABLEspoon water.
  • Return chops to pot and cook until liquid has thickened.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of pork chops. Bone-in pork chops are more flavorful than boneless pork chops, but they take longer to cook. If you're short on time, you can use boneless pork chops.
  • Season the pork chops well. Pork chops can be seasoned with a variety of spices and herbs. Some popular options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and chili powder.
  • Crock Pot cooking on low is ideal for pork chops. Low and slow cooking helps to keep the pork chops moist and tender.
  • Add some liquid to the Crock Pot. This will help to keep the pork chops from drying out. You can use water, broth, or even tomato sauce.
  • Cook the pork chops until they are tender. The cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the pork chops. Bone-in pork chops will take longer to cook than boneless pork chops.
  • Serve the pork chops with your favorite sides. Some popular options include mashed potatoes, rice, green beans, and corn.

Conclusion:

Crock Pot pork chops are a delicious and easy meal that can be enjoyed by the whole family. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful and tender dish that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. So next time you're looking for an easy and delicious meal, give Crock Pot pork chops a try.
