Provided by Lubie

Categories     One Dish Meal

Time 4h15m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 chicken breasts
1 (6 ounce) package Stove Top stuffing mix (amount can vary depending on how dry or wet you like it)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can soup (cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, or cream of celery.)

  • Place chicken breasts in the bottom of crock pot.
  • Pour dry stuffing mix over chicken.
  • Mix sour cream and soup and pour over chicken and stuffing.
  • Cook on low for 4 hours.
  • Fluff all ingredients and serve.

Tips:

  • For a crispier crust on the chicken, sear it in a skillet over medium-high heat before adding it to the slow cooker.
  • If you don't have a can of cream of chicken soup on hand, you can make your own by combining 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of melted butter, 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper.
  • To make the stuffing ahead of time, simply prepare it according to the package directions and let it cool completely. You can then store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • This recipe is also great for meal prep. Simply cook the chicken and stuffing according to the directions and then portion it out into individual containers. You can then reheat it in the microwave or oven when you're ready to eat.
