Provided by Crock_Pots_Rock

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
1 (16-ounce) box elbow macaroni, cooked according to package directions - reserving 1 cup of the pasta water
1 large onion, grated
2 garlic cloves, grated
1 cup beef stock or broth
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons bisquick (regular flour would work too)
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Add everything to a 5 or 6 quart crock pot, including the reserved cup of pasta water. Stir to incorporate. Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. Stir again to incorporate melted cheese evenly. Serve with favorite cheeseburger toppings (optional) and tossed salad. NOTE: Sauce will thicken as it cooks. If it is still too "watery" when you are ready to serve, turn crock pot to high and remove lid for liquid to evaporate. This will take about 30 to 45 minutes before thickening.

Time 4h45m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb ground beef or turkey
1/2 c chopped onions
garlic salt (about 1/2 teaspoon)
1 can(s) cream of chicken or celery soup, 10.5 oz.
1 jar(s) Ragu double cheddar, 16 oz.
1 can(s) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, 10 oz.
2 Tbsp ketchup
16 oz bag of small elbow macaroni
2 c shredded Jack and Colby cheeses (I usually buy a pre-shredded bag)

Steps:

  • 1. Spray frying pan with cooking spray. Add onions and cook for a couple minutes until softened.
  • 2. Add hamburger and garlic salt to taste. Brown hamburger.
  • 3. Drain grease.
  • 4. Add cooked hamburger to the Crock Pot.
  • 5. Mix in soup, ketchup, Ragu cheese sauce and can of tomatoes.
  • 6. Cook on high 3 to 4 hours.
  • 7. Add cooked macaroni and shredded cheese.
  • 8. Mix. Then let sit 15 to 20 mins and serve.

Tips:

  • Use a quality ground beef. An 80/20 blend is a good choice, as it will provide enough fat to keep the burgers moist, but not so much that they're greasy.
  • Season the ground beef well. Use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. You can also add other seasonings, such as chili powder or cumin, to taste.
  • Cook the ground beef thoroughly. Brown the beef in a skillet over medium heat until it is no longer pink in the center. This will help to ensure that the burgers are safe to eat.
  • Use a variety of cheeses. A combination of cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses will give the macaroni and cheese a rich and flavorful taste.
  • Cook the macaroni according to the package directions. Be sure to drain the macaroni well before adding it to the cheese sauce.
  • Make the cheese sauce ahead of time. This will give the flavors time to meld and develop. You can make the cheese sauce up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Assemble the macaroni and cheese casserole. Layer the cooked macaroni, cheese sauce, and cooked ground beef in a baking dish. Top with additional cheese and bake until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown.

Conclusion:

Crock-Pot Cheeseburger Mac is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a busy weeknight dinner. The combination of ground beef, macaroni, and cheese is a classic comfort food that is sure to please everyone at the table. With a few simple tips, you can make a crock-Pot Cheeseburger Mac that is restaurant-quality.
