Time 3h10m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (4 lb) bag frozen chicken drumsticks or 1 (4 lb) bag chicken wings
2 (12 ounce) bottles franks buffalo wing sauce
1 cup margarine or 1 cup butter
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon minced onions or 2 tablespoons dried onion

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients except the chicken in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer. (I use Franks Buffalo Sauce but you can use any Hot Sauce or Buffalo Sauce.).
  • Place chicken in crock pot and pour heated sauce over the top. Cook on low or high. (Just depends on how fast you want to eat them.).
  • When chicken is cooked through, scoop (with a slotted spoon) onto a cookie sheet.
  • Broil on hi for 10-15 minutes (my husband likes these best when I sprinkle a dry rub over the wings before placing them in the oven. It helps hold the sauce in place and makes a slightly crispy coat). Just use any dry meat rub.Cajun, Jerk, Garlic etc. and add your own special touch!

Time 5h15m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

3 lbs chicken wings
1 (18 ounce) bottle spicy barbecue sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons red cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic flakes, minced
1 teaspoon onion flakes, minced
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons jalapeno sauce
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
1 tablespoon cajun spices

Steps:

  • In a crock pot, add chicken, bbq sauce, and all spices.
  • Stir and heat on low for 4-5 hours.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of chicken wings. You can use a mix of drumettes and flats, or all drumettes or all flats, depending on your preference.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry before cooking. This will help the sauce adhere to the wings and prevent them from becoming soggy.
  • Be generous with the buffalo sauce. The wings should be well-coated in sauce, but not so much that they're dripping.
  • Cook the chicken wings on low heat for 4-6 hours, or on high heat for 2-3 hours. This will allow the chicken to cook through and the sauce to thicken.
  • Serve the chicken wings with your favorite dipping sauce. Ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, and celery sticks are all popular options.

Conclusion:

Crock-Pot Buffalo Wings are an easy and delicious appetizer or main course. They're perfect for parties, game day, or a casual weeknight meal. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make these wings at home in your slow cooker. So next time you're looking for a tasty and easy recipe, give Crock-Pot Buffalo Wings a try.
