Steps:
- Brown beef tips in vegetable oil and place in crock pot. In same saucepan, sautee onions and place on top of beef tips.
- Add mushroom soup, worcestershire sauce and water to same saucepan. Heat and stir to mix. Add to crock pot.
- Turn crock pot to high for 1 hour and turn to low for 4 to 5 hours. Add sour cream during last 15 minutes and stir.

- Brown the beef tips in a skillet over medium-high heat before adding them to the slow cooker. This will help to seal in the flavor and prevent the beef from becoming tough.
- Use a variety of vegetables in the stew, such as carrots, celery, onions, and potatoes. This will add flavor and texture to the dish.
- Add some herbs and spices to the stew to taste. Some good options include garlic, thyme, rosemary, and paprika.
- Cook the stew on low for 8-10 hours, or until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
