Steps:
- In the crockpot, combine the meat, soup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Stir in cream cheese and sour cream about half an hour before serving, stirring every ten minutes or so to break up cream cheese. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice. (After the egg noodles have cooked, I like to add them directly into the crockpot for about half an hour for the flavors to mingle and thicken up a bit.) If the sauce is not thick enough for you, add some cornstarch and water. Makes 6 generous servings.
CROCK POT CREAMY BEEF STROGANOFF
This recipe was given to me by a friend. My kids love it! I think it is best cooked longer on low heat as the meat is more tender. I also substitute low fat sour cream.

CROCK POT BEEF STROGANOFF - CASSIES
I made this delicious meal for the family last night. I needed something cooking for their dinner, while I worked. All my husband had to do is add the cream cheese the last 10 minutes of cooking...it was a big hit. They loved it over rice. I doubled the batch. I am posting a single batch of ingredients. Enjoy!! Steps:
- 1. Add the beef, mushrooms, and onions to the pot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- 2. Combine the soup, water, garlic, onion salt and Worcestershire sauce. Add to the pot and stir to combine.
- 3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 5 hours. Check for tenderness of the beef. I cooked mine for 5 hours on high and was nice and tender, but all crock pots and slow cookers are different. Yours may take longer. When the beef is tender...add the cream cheese. Let it melt for 10 minutes; then stir to combine.
- 4. It is now ready to serve.
